Kim Ball!

January 4th, 2004: Version 0.8.1

Well, there are two main points of this release:

1) I fixed the resource loading bug, so it will run now :)

2) I added geometry culling that will eliminate between 40% - 80% of the vertices drawn, BEFORE sending them to the GPU (for further culling). Because the geometry is not the limiting factor for most people, this will not have a huge effect - yet. We'll see if I can get the complex geometry, in a more well-designed implementation, back in for version 0.9 or 0.10.

Get the datafiles here.

Get the linux executable.

Get the windows executable.

Get either of the executables above (depending on your OS), and the datafiles. Unzip both .zip files in the same directory, and run the kimball executable to play.

If unzipping over a previous version, please delete the previous files as the format for the preferences file has changed.

As always, you may email me here.
